MARYVILLE

Historically maintained area with a variety of businesses, shops, and restaurants.

Welcome to Maryville

To me, Maryville is the closest “Big City” to Knoxville, although it is considered a suburb, with around 30,000 residents. Maryville is a quick 25-minute drive on Alcoa Highway into downtown Knoxville. If the outdoors is your passion, you are in for a treat! Only 20 minutes away is the Great Smokey Mountains National Park: the most visited national park in America and also the only one that is free, making it ideal for frequent hikes! And when the travel bug hits, McGhee Tyson Airport, the closest regional airport to Knoxville, is located in Maryville’s sister city of Alcoa.

For housing, Maryville has something for any buyer and most with a stunning view of the Smokey Mountains. Do you want to live affordably in a downtown neighborhood, in a planned community or subdivision, or on a larger property or farm? Then Maryville and the adjacent city of Alcoa are worth a serious look. (I would like to add some names of subdivisions to meet Key word search criteria here)

The city has amenities that are unrivaled in the area. The Maryville-Alcoa Greenway connects the town’s parks with a 15-mile paved trail that is ideal for joggers and cyclists. The Blount Memorial Hospital, located in town, is the only Mayo Clinic Care network-affiliated hospital in East Tennessee. Beautiful Maryville College, a small, highly-acclaimed, private college is located in the center of town. Downtown Maryville is a historically maintained area with a variety of businesses, shops, venues, and restaurants. It also boasts an incredible Farmer’s Market that cannot be missed on Saturday mornings.

Maryville City Schools and Blount County School districts have many options available for public education. If you prefer a private school, Episcopal School of KnoxvilleWebb School of KnoxvilleKnoxville Catholic High School, and Christian Academy of Knoxville are all an easy 30-minute drive on Pellissippi Parkway.

Maryville has some of the finest dinings in the region. With Blackberry Farm in nearby Walland, TN, many former chefs have chosen to stay and work in the area. The Walnut KitchenRT Lodge, and The Foothills Milling Co. are some of the more renowned choices for dining in Maryville.

If you like small business shopping options, make sure to check out Roost Home and McQueen Pottery for a taste of local artisans and designers. For more everyday needs, the Foothills Mall in nearby Alcoa can meet all your needs.

If you are looking for a small city living with a big city vibe, Maryville just may be for you.
