Defining Home
The search for a new home when moving can be incredibly daunting. There are enough worries and questions circulating during this time, and doubting the skill or empathy of your real estate agent should not be one of them.
I built my career as an agent and broker with a heavy emphasis on being an effective and hard worker, but also staying a friendly and understanding partner in the process. I moved to Knoxville in 1993 for my Masters in Experimental Psychology at UT, but ended up changing career paths and entering retail management. In 2009 I entered the real estate world, but Knoxville remained my home base. By entering the field during the recession, I had to fight hard to stay in business because I believed this was the right fit for me.
I have since earned my Brokers license, grown my business to a small but amazing group of agents, helped to start a new Knoxville division for D.R. Horton, the largest builder by volume in America, and I have become extensively involved in the local Knoxville Area Association of Realtors (including being elected as President for 2021). I have loved the journey of being more deeply involved with the broader Knoxville community and of course the journey with our fantastic clients!
The agents on my purposefully small team are from a wide variety of backgrounds, and I cherish that dynamic. We are truly a team. We have an agent to fit most any buyer or seller’s needs; they’re working with someone they can connect with and deliver the high level of service they deserve.
Over the years, I have found that while the process of every purchase or sale is similar, each transaction is unique in and of itself…nothing is certain [in real estate], but you can not live in fear of the uncertainty; we take nothing for granted and utilize our cumulative knowledge to benefit our client’s outcome.
